Samuel L. Jackson isn’t finished with Mace Windu just yet. Jackson wasn’t able to attend Star Wars Celebration this year in Orlando, but he still participated in the festivities by sending in a video message. After stating that everyone knows Jedi can live through falls and come back better than ever with mechanical appendages, he addressed Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilms, and tried to make something happen. “I am not dead … Mace Windu is awaiting his return. Let’s make it happen. Kathy you’re sitting right there,” said Jackson. He continued to say that in his mind Mace was able to survive these events and continued to live out his life. We don’t have official word that this is actually the case, this does make for a good pitch to Lucasfilms.
The prospect of Mace Windu returning is low but if the Obi- Wan Standalone film with Ewan McGregor does happen, Sam would be the first age to reprise his role as Mace.
