Nintendo Taking the 3D Out of 3DS

Nintendo is the king when it comes to handheld consoles. They revolutionized the world by creating this as a system on its own starting with GameBoy. Backlit screens, color gaming, connecting devices, and 3D gaming have all been ventures that Nintendo has accomplished the portable gaming.

Unfortunately, not all ventures work well. The 3D feature on the Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL handheld gaming devices was never popular. It’s straining on the eyes and about fun for five seconds when you test the game’s 3D ability. Afterwards, it’s just a headache.

Nintendo officially announced today that they will no longer have 3D component on the 3DS, and now reverting back to just the 2DS and now the new 2DS XL.

I guess the 3DS is now a collectible item like the NES classic they just pulled off the shelves as well. Whelp.
