[UPDATE] James Gunn spoke to Yahoo Movies and here’s what he had to say:
“It’s not the title. My guess is that Zoe just misspoke. I’ll talk to Zoe today, but I would imagine that is just Zoe misspeaking and saying ‘Infinity Gauntlet’ instead of ‘Infinity War’.”
Earlier this morning, Kevin Feige suggest that the official title for the fourth installment of the Avengers film would have to be kept under wraps due to possible spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War. However, it seem that Zoe Saldana has let the cat out of the bag this morning in an interview, but the reveal doesn’t really seem like a spoiler at all.
Below is the video shared Lizo Mzimba, a film journalist. You’ll hear Saldana say that she’s currently in the middle of shooting Infinity War, and they “all have to go back for Gauntlet later this year.”

Gauntlet is in reference to the Marvel Comics story arc Infinity Gauntlet which Infinity Wars is based on, and this is a definite clue that the upcoming Russo Brother’s follow-up will be titled Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet. If this is the case the big question is why would Feige be relucent to share this title? It doesn’t seem to lead to too many spoilers. He could be waiting to build up the anticipation at of the mystery that surrounds movies like this or it’s definitely possible that this may not be the title at all, and Saldana could have just been referring to what it’s being called for the time being. We’ll just have to wait and see when Marvel Studios makes their official announcement.
