Today Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures debuted the official IMAX poster for their upcoming Kong: Skull Island movie. Like much of this movie’s marketing, there is an obvious tribute to movies like Apocalypse Now that focus on the Vietnam War era.

Kong’s looming presence dominating the poster seems to remind us that the soldiers in the movie investigating Skull Island are going to realize that some wars are just not worth fighting for.

The official synopsis for the film can be found below:

A trip back to the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes, Kong: Skull Island will follow a team of explorers who venture deep inside the treacherous, primordial island to find the leader’s brother and a mythical serum, confronting extraordinary creatures along the way.
