True Blood Alum Stephen Moyer Lands Lead Role in New X-Men Pilot

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that True Blood alum Stephen Moyer has been cast in Fox’s untitled X-Men drama from showrunner Matt Nix (Burn Notice) and director Bryan Singer (X-Men: Apocalypse). He’ll be joins Blair Redford as an unknown mutant character and Jamie Chung as a new version of X-Men: Days of Future Past character Blink.

In the series, Moyer will play Reed, an ambitious attorney trying to balance the demands of this job at the DA’s office with his responsibilities to his family. He’s going to play the father of the family which the show revolves around. His wife in the show and mutant child haven’t been revealed yet, but we’re sure that casting news should come shortly.
The focus of the show will be on the two ordinary parent who discover their child posses mutant abilities. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with the underground network of mutants and fight to survive. The Sentinels will be appearing in the show and nix said that the untitled show will be in the same world as the films.
