Guess who’s in Gotham?  Shiva the Destroyer and the League of Shadows are back after formulating the perfect plan for the Batman but, what is her plan?  And more importantly, who has she recruited from Arkham Asylum?  By the time, Batman hears laughs over the news, riots, and city, it may be too late for the great detective.

““League of Shadows” part one! The next big DETECTIVE arc explodes here as the League of Shadows goes from mysterious rumor to deadly fact! What’s their plan for Gotham City? And how will their actions affect Batman and his team?”

This issue starts off with a mysterious character being tortured by Shiva for information.  The story written by James T Tynion IV is just the first part of this story arc.  It feels like it is building up to something huge.  Although, this first issue is a “slow burner”.

The art drawn by Christian Duce Fernandez is dark and gritty.  It almost reminds me of an anime movie, which is perfect for a Shiva driven storyline.

Find out if Gotham has the strength to pull itself after the newest Bat-disaster in Detective Comics issue 951.
