I’ve been looking forward to this movie’s release in the United States for awhile now and I am so glad to report that it’s finally coming to us! Based off of the amazing novel of the same name, The Girl with All the Gifts is one of the most arguably smart and gripping zombie genre films I’ve heard of in a long time. Based off of the critics and their responses, I definitely recommend this film if you are a fan of the zombie genre.
Entertainment Weekly posted an exclusive trailer on their site, but it is honestly a rehash of previously released trailers of the movie. If you are interested in seeing the trailer, you can click here. Otherwise, I have included a previously released trailer below for your viewing pleasure.
The official synopsis is below:
In the near future-set horror film The Girl with All the Gifts, mankind has been virtually wiped by a disease which eradicates free will and transforms its victims into flesh-eating “hungries.” The only people immune to its effects? A group of children who, despite being infected, retain normal thoughts and emotions, and are subjected to cruel experiments by Glenn Close’s Dr. Caldwell at an army base in rural England. When the base falls, a child called Melanie (Sennia Nanua) escapes with her teacher Miss Justine (Gemma Arterton), a soldier played by Paddy Considine, and Caldwell.

The Girl with All the Gifts will be available exclusively on DirecTV starting January 26, 2017. The film will then be released in theaters on February 24, 2017, and then will be released on demand the same day.
