The secret is out! From the recent issues of Batman (SEE BATMAN #9-13 “I AM SUICIDE”) Amanda Waller crossed the bat line. She sent Suicide Squad to raid the Bat Cave to make sure the Dark Knight was not on the trail of her misdeeds.
Well it’s safe to say that nothing gets passed the Great Detective of Gotham city. Batman has rallied the Justice League to put an end to the abuse of political power.
I’m not the biggest Justice League fan but I have been known to read the best stories they have to offer. This issue not only starts off with a bang but the action carries throughout the entire issue.
Joshua Williamson not only captures the essence of the Suicide Squad film but also the Justice League. Everything you thought would happen if the league found out about the squad is coming to fruition. The art drawn by Jason Fab
ok is crisp and clean. The style makes you feel like you’re watching an animated series of your favorite characters.
Much like many crossovers we’ve read, you’ll be surprised to see a few special guests you weren’t expecting.
“The first major event storyline of DC’s Rebirth era begins with a day Amanda Waller always knew would come: the Justice League discovers the existence of the Suicide Squad! This government-sponsored black-ops team of super-villains with bombs implanted in their brains is obviously a deal-breaker for Earth’s paragons of truth and justice! But you can bet that the Wall and her Task Force X won’t go down without the fight to end all fights as this weekly series gets underway!”
Find out what true threats wait for both teams in “Justice League vs Suicide Squad #1.”
