New York City has been devastated by a nanite virus.  Citizens are running around mad with red eyes.  Only Bloodshot and the Bloodshot Squad can take the city back.

bsusa_002_005Check out the newest story with Valiant’s anti-hero that could take on Deadpool and The Punisher combined.  Meet Bloodshot, a soldier with nanite blood who was used as a weapon; that was until he escaped.  With his new-found freedom, he is searching for the love of his life (Magic) who was kidnapped by those who created him.

Jeff Lemire starts off this second issue with a bang.  Our main character has his head lying several feet away from his body.  How will Bloodshot carry on without a head?  Jeff Lemire does an amazing job at putting this story together with a team of characters we’ve never seen before.  The art by Doug Braithwaite makes this comic book feel more like a movie with his attention to detail and background.

“The city that never sleeps is about to get a wake-up call! Lock and load with New York Times best-selling writer Jeff Lemire (Old Man Logan, Moon Knight) and blockbuster artist Doug Braithwaite (NINJAK, ARMOR HUNTERS) as the most hostile comics event of the year heads into the heart of the concrete jungle!”
