Rumors have been surrounding whether or not Yoda will be making an appearance in Episode VIII for the past couple of months now. It doesn’t look like they’ll be stopping anytime soon after today.

People have been wondering if he will be making appearances in this new Star Wars trilogy series. He’s made an appearance in the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy. There were heavy rumors that Frank Oz would be reprising his role of Yoda in Episode VII, but all we received from that was a line in Rey’s epic flashback sequence. Now the rumors surrounding him making an appearance in Episode VIII are back and, this time, are coming to us from a Redditor known as Skywalkergal. You can catch the whole conversation on Reddit here.

This is the post that started it all:

“One of the many stalls featured at the convention was Saving Yoda, ran by one of the original team operating Yoda in ESB. While waiting to have my photo taken with the Yoda puppet, the dude running it was talking to another guy. The random guy asked which  puppet was currently on display. In response, we were all told that the one on display was puppet 2 (I think, I can’t quite remember exactly). He looked at both of us, and said that members of the original Yoda team have been called in to work on episode 8, using the Yoda 8 puppet, as they’d all recently been talking about it. He’d have no reason to lie.”

Now, mind you, this is really all hearsay. We do not know if this Redditor is telling the truth or not about Yoda’s appearance. However, with rumors circling around, one cannot help but wonder if we truly will be getting a little piece of the Jedi Master in the next installment of Star Wars.

What do you think of these rumors? Making Star Wars has reported on other rumors as well and now we have this Redditor proclaiming that we may see the return of the Jedi Master. Is there truth behind these rumors? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
