Since her live action movie debut in Batman vs. Superman, fans have been anxiously waiting for more news and details regarding Wonder Woman’s feature film. Details have been surprising sparse for such an anticipated movie (especially one in the stages of post-production)- until now.
Gal Gadot revealed to the LA Times in March that the Wonder Woman we’ll see in the standalone movie “is a very different Wonder Woman [than in Batman v Superman] …In the standalone movie we are telling the grown-up story. Diana becoming Wonder Woman, and this was a story that was never told before. When she starts this journey, she’s very pure. She’s more naive, she’s this young idealist who does not really understand the complexities of life and the complexities of men.”
A press released issued by Warner Brothers today not only further reveals details of the plot of Wonder Woman’s movie, but also is the first time writers Allan Heinberg, Geoff Johns, and Zack Snyder have been announced. With the San Diego Comic-Con International panel coming up in 2 weeks, we echo Gadot’s excitement: “Wonder Woman is underway”!
Following is the full Wonder Woman movie press release issued by Warner Bros, including a new synopsis of the film:
